At first you could choose what do you need to compare – files or directories?

Directory comparison allows you to check files into two chosen directories.

Quick comparison mode – it will be activated automatically when two directories with files are chosen. This mode compare file size and date of modification only.

If any file is missing in one directory but present in another you can use “Synchronize” option and content of the directories will be equal.

From directory comparison you can run file comparison for required files. There are several modes you can choose:

• Text comparison mode – make comparison between files as text files.

• XML comparison mode – make comparison between files as XML files.

• Binary comparison mode - make comparison between files as binary files.

• Extensions comparison – make comparison between files as text, XML or binary depends on their extension. You can choose and set extensions in options of the program.

After comparison is done you can export all changes and make a report. It rather helpful if you need to find out only differences without checking the entire document.
